The Modular Scout Solid-State Recorder is an ultra-small, rugged, tactical data recorder designed to capture up to 200 megabytes per second of streaming data for a continuous 2.8 hours, or 168 minutes.
The Scout Recorder is considered modular, due to the customization of its I/O module and solid-state storage pack. The removable I/O modules can be swapped depending on the type of data that is being captured, and the removable storage packs offer various capacities and record times.
Command and control is implemented through an Ethernet interface or from the front panel of the unit. Recorded data may be played back, accessed through the Ethernet interface, or copied/removed by connecting the removable storage pack to a workstation. All operating parameters are controlled via a graphical user interface running on a PC connected to the Modular Scout via the Ethernet connection.
