AUSA Recognizes Felicia Campbell of DRS C4ISR Group

Felicia Campbell, senior manager of business development for the Advanced Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance unit of the DRS C4ISR group, has been selected by the Association of the U.S. Army to receive the organization’s Maj. Gen. Anthony J. Drexel Biddle Medal for 2015.

The annual award salutes a member of the association who has compiled a noteworthy list of accomplishments on its behalf. In more than 30 years with the Greater Los Angeles chapter of AUSA, she has been an integral member, initiating numerous programs that support local soldiers and their families.

Among them are the Adopt a Family program, which provides grocery cards and gifts to Army families that could use a bit of extra help during the holiday season. In the six years of the program, more than 400 families have been “adopted,” sharing more than $100,000 in donations.

Another Campbell program, Give a Soldier a Night Out, provides the opportunity through donated seats for enlisted and junior officers stationed in the Los Angeles area and their spouses or guests to attend the annual AUSA Army Ball. In the five years of the program more than 700 seats with an estimated value of $200,000 have been donated.

According to supporters, Felicia Campbell is considered “a household name” within the AUSA community, where the award has been likened in prestige to a lifetime achievement Oscar.

“You may not know this, but at AUSA national headquarters, you are referred to as a force of nature,” retired Gen. Carter Ham told her in a recent letter.
