On-Board Vehicle Power for Medium Tactical Vehicles
DRS Technologies and Allison Transmission have partnered together to offer OBVP for medium tactical vehicles. OBVP utilizes a Transmission Integral Generator (TIG) with power producing capabilities ranging from 30 kW to more than 125 kW for medium tactical and combat vehicles. The DRS-Allison OBVP System is a retrofittable kit that has no effect on the drivetrain length and does not add additional belts, bearings, shafts, or seals to the vehicle. The DRS-Allison OBVP system offers commanders operational flexibility, reliability and agility while reducing maintenance and support costs over other power-upgrade solutions.
